Level Design is where gameplay mechanics meet the player. This course teaches the theory and practice of building levels. You will learn to 'greybox' (blockout) layouts to test flow and combat encounters before adding art. Master guiding the player using light, color, and geometry (Leading Lines). We cover pacing, environmental storytelling, and optimizing levels for performance using occlusion culling and baking lightmaps.
